My Review:
5 out of 5 Stars
Everyone’s favorite characters are back, and we are quickly reminded why we love and missed them so much. After we learn about Eden in the previous story (no spoilers here as to what happened), you may have expected to read a whole new love story (maybe even about Thomas – hence the title), but Ms. Renae does one better for us all. She keeps us guessing and wanting more!
The story does in fact revolve around Thomas and a bit of a predicament he gets into. However, there was no repeat story like all too often happens in many other series, where Thomas also has an assignment (like Alex in the previous book) and in the process meets his mate, and they fall in love during whatever trial they face and live happily ever after. No. This was so much better! Instead, we get to delve deeper into the development of the characters we met in the previous story, those pesky fallen that won’t seem to go away, the characters we’ve loved for a long time, all the while meeting a sprinkling of new characters that are intriguing and I for one can’t wait to find out more about.
I loved that we found all of our characters back in what’s a familiar favorite to all of us, Alaine’s home in Alaska. Her home is forever expanding with new residents, and this story is no exception. They blend perfectly with our favorites from before who also do not disappoint. Happily, Dom and his sense of humor are back, along with our favorite bonded couples that Ms. Renae does such a beautiful job writing about, making us feel the strong love and partnership they each have.
The book ended perfectly, with one mystery resolved, but leaving plenty of doors open with little questions we’ll all want answered, hoping there are many more books in the future to answer them.
