Blurb:
Mina Spitz, a lifetime resident of Woodland Creek, has been alone longer than she cares to remember. Her powers are changing and they’re more than the bloodline inheritance from her mother. She has a feeling that the identity of her father has something to do with it.

Rollo Frost is new to town. He’s tall, dark, dangerous, and everyone knows it. Relocating his pack to Woodland Creek, he’s determined to put the secrets that haunt him to rest. The problem is he doesn’t know the truth behind those secrets and may never know.

Rollo becomes enthralled with Mina, wanting to know her secret, and his pack isn’t happy about it.

Mina has the power to destroy everything Rollo’s built, she just doesn’t know it…yet.

When life-altering secrets are exposed, their worlds collide in a way they never expected.

My Review:
4 out of 5 stars

There is no question Woodland Creek is a mysterious town, but the humans there have no idea.  Thinking it's just you're average town, they have no idea they live among more shifters than there likely are humans, and even a few witches and wizards.  But even the shifters and wizards in the town had no idea what dark secret that would change them all would surface the day Mina's uncle died, and it wasn't only her world that changed.  Especially when Rollo came to town.

Rollo and Mina were meant to be enemies. It was simple...he was supposed to eliminate her. He didn't know why, but he always followed what he was told was needed for the pack.  However, even as a reader, we knew that the second he met the woman he was meant to eliminate, his mind would change quickly, and it did.

I really like how this author made it believable that the moment Rollo came to town, he would immediately start questioning what he was sent there to do, and notice that there are things that don't add up.  Also that he knew who Mina was right away.  It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine in many books, where the author draws these things out, and you feel like screaming, "It's so obvious! All the clues are right there!"  We don't have to go through that in this book, and it's a great relief.  We were able to get right into the heart of the mystery of the story, and it was a great mystery, that I really enjoyed.

If you're wondering if this book is sexy, and filled with romance, you certainly wont be disappointed there either.  And although there was a lot of it, it wasn't overdone.  It fit the story, wasn't awkward, and was definitely steamy!

And just when you thought the story was over, the author threw one more quick surprise in at the end.  Throughout the story surprises would happen, where things didn't happend the way you would expect, and those are always the best kinds of mysteries.  This town is full of its mysteries, and this was definitely one of the good ones!
